Very good lesson, i got used to having my toddlers around when trying to learn so it bothers me not.

You forgot to mention that you NEED to make some scratches on the plastic parts before you dip them into the Turmeric mix. Use either a 500 (or finer) grit sandpaper , or very fine steel wool to make tiny scratches on the plastic parts. Then you dip it into the mixture of Turmeric and water. You can also add and include into the mix a tablespoon or 2 of used black coffee (or European Expresso coffee) to give it a darker color tone. As you leave the parts in the water mixture, check on then once every 15 minutes so as to get the correct shade of "vintage yellow" you want. If you leave it for too long, it will become more Yellow. DO NOT USE Hot boiling water because it will soften and even MELT the plastic parts !!!! After taking them out and washing with water, let it dry naturally. Do not use a towel or paper napkins. Just let it dry slowly so the Turmeric stains the plastic better and penetrates into the plastic parts. By the way, Nice guitar from Harley-B !

RD - 328 I purchased one over a year ago it was already 16 years old in mint condition never used or played. I replace plastic pins with bone pins the spruce top Adirondacks 30 year old , Indian rosewood, solid back and side. The V-neck makes it easier to play. Thanks for all your musical instructions

I bought an RO-328 a few months ago. People are telling me I should play it hard and a lot (like it owes me money, they say) to make it "open up." Can it be expected to open up given that the top wood was aged a few decades before the guitar was made? What was your experience?

Thanks man, I've found this very helpful. I prefer this version over Tony Rice's version, for which there are hundreds of lessons. "It's not very complicated" When done the Norman Blake way, it sounds like at least two guitars playing at the same time.
